Support for Individuals
As part of our continuing support for raising the standards of personnel in the FRS, VCA provide support services to individuals in preparation for their ITOP, ADCs, Applications and Interviews.
The ITOP (ADC Stage 1) support services include information and example Workbooks, practice Simulation Exercises and SJTs, and comprehensive pre-ITOP feedback. These services are designed to support both FRS and individuals by encouraging development around the PQAs prior to assessment activity.
Other support services for individuals include Workbooks to improve PQA Interviews and PQA Application forms. These workbooks and feedback service encourage individuals to develop their PQAs by identifying positive examples of behaviour and building on these. It also serves to allow applicants to identify where they lack experience, and what they need to do to develop in the correct way. These services are applicable to internal promotion processes and National Firefighter Selection.
